Trish Johnson

Patricia Mary "Trish" Johnson is an English golfer. She was born in Bristol on 17 January 1966.

[edit] Amateur Career
Trish Johnson had a successful amateur career. She was South Western Champion in 1983 and 1984. In 1984 she was both England Under-23 and Under-21 Champion. In 1985 she was England Amateur Champion, England Strokeplay Champion and repeated as England Under-23 Champion. In 1986 she represented GB & I in the World Amateur Team Championship and the Curtis Cup, where she won maximum points.

Johnson turned professional in March 1987. She won 3 tournaments in her first year as a professional and was Rookie of Year 1987. She won four tournaments in 1900 and won the 1990 Order of Merit. Overall she has won 18 tournaments on the Ladies European Tour and has finished in the top ten of the order of merit on more than ten occasions, including second places in 2000 and 2004. Her last victory was the 2004 Wales Ladies Open.
Johnson won the 1987 LPGA Qualifying School to earn playing rights for the 1988 season. She has three wins on the U.S. based LPGA Tour. She won the 1993 LPGA Las Vegas Canyon Gate tournament plus the 1993 LPGA Atlanta Women's Championship. Her last LPGA victory was the 1996 LPGA Fieldcrest Cannon Classic.
She was a member of the European Solheim Cup team in 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2005.
