[edit] Overview

Triple Sensation is a television series produced by multi-Tony Award winning producer Garth H. Drabinsky. It is intended to be broadcast in the 2007/08 season on CBC-TV. The series will combine the distinction of "Inside the Actor's Studio" with the entertainment and nail-biting tension captured in the audition scenes of Stephen Daldry's "Billy Elliot."

Triple Sensation provides a rare opportunity for talented Canadians age 16 to 26. They are looking for young people who have a passion for the performing arts...and are blessed with a combination of talents in the disciplines of acting, dancing and singing...who dream of a career in live theatre, television and film.

"Triple Sensation is more than a competition...it's a unique opportunity to learn and grow as a performer in a variety of ways."

Over $250,000 in scholarship prizes will be available. The ultimate prize is a dream-come-true scholarship award of $150,000 to attend the theatrical training institution of the first prize winner's choice: a school such as Juilliard, Carnegie Mellon, Yale, England's Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, or our own National Theatre School. Major scholarships will also be available for the runners-up.
