Triple Rock Social Club

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Triple Rock Social Club is a bar and music venue in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, co-owned by Gretchen Funk, and Erik Funk of the punk band Dillinger Four. It is featured in the song "Seeing Double At The Triple Rock" by Fat Wreck Chords labelmates NOFX, and the video for the song was shot there as well. It is also mentioned in the Motion City Soundtrack song "Better Open the Door." The bar first opened in 1998 and was known for it's wide selection of beers, unique "punk heavy" jukebox, and it's menu, which boasts a large amount of meatless options along with more standard bar food. Since the venue portion of the club was built in 2003, the club has become an indespensible part of the Twin Cities music scene, bringing in popular and more obscure acts from all over, and providing an artist friendly room for local acts.

The Venue offers very modern amenities, including decently clean bathrooms, air conditioning, and a juice bar for those under 21, who can't cross over to the club. Cameras are A-OK here, unless a band has requested differently. The Venue also features a very well set up sound system that never seems to leave your ears ringing after a show but also never fails to impress. You would be hard pressed to find another club with all of the features of the Triple Rock and one that hosts such friendly staff.
