Triple Concerto (Beethoven)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ludwig van Beethoven's Concerto for violin, cello, piano, & orchestra in C Major, more commonly known as the Triple Concerto, was his opus number 56. The choice of the three solo instruments effectively makes this a concerto for piano trio. A typical performance takes approximately 37 minutes.

In the standard classical concerto style, it is in three movements:

  • Allegro
  • Largo
  • Rondo alla Polacca
