Trinity Western University Bombers

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Trinity Western University Bombers are a non-contact ice hockey team that compete in the Cross Mainland Church Hockey League (CMCHL). Ben Kotanen and Kelly Hart started the Bombers in 2000, and the team has since grown in size and popularity. The Bombers won the CMCHL Championship in 2004-2005 by defeating the Pacific Community Desert Dogs 3-2. In 2005-2006, the Bombers had an impeccable season having a 14 game unbeaten (13-0-1) streak at the end of the season and into the playoffs. The Bombers also clinched the Campbell Conference Title for the second year in a row. In a hard fought game, the Bombers fell in the championship game by a score of 3-2 to the Willingdon Avalanche. It was a disappointed lost, but a positive season with many goods things to build on. The road back has already begun, as the Bombers gear up for “Cup Run ’07”.
