The Tricholomataceae is a large family of Fungi within the basidiomycetes.
- Is distinguished by white spores, and adnate hymenium.
- Contains the genera Pleurotus, Lepista, Mycena Tricholomopsis and Tricholoma, among others.
Some authorities consider the members of Hygrophoraceae to lie within this family, while others deem it a separate family.
