Talk:Trinity Bellwoods Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
On a recent (within two years) historical walk through the Park, our guide stated that the remaining outline of Garrison Creek, "the peanut", exists due entirely to a "little old lady" who refused to allow them to fill it in, and sat in front of the bulldozer. The story could quite possibly be an urban rumor, but it was being told by a former mayor who would have actually been alive during that time, so it's not entirely dismissable.
It's a great story, if true. It would certainly make a great addition to the article. Can anyone verify the story one way or the other?
