[edit] Fair use for Cyberpunk
This image portrays the heroine of a much-discussed and financially successful movie franchise. Trinity, the counterpart to Keanu Reeves's cyberpunk messiah "Neo", is significant not only for her role in the Matrix trilogy, but also for what she signifies about the genre's gender politics. Leather-clad, dangerous, her eyes often concealed — Trinity is a figurative descendant of Molly the "razorgirl" in Gibson's Sprawl trilogy. Any comprehensive article on the cyberpunk genre should discuss the saga of which Trinity is a part; furthermore, since the article cites sources who address SF gender issues, an illustration of Trinity is doubly germane.
No GFDL or public-domain images of this character have been found. Since this image was originally promotional in nature, its use in this article does not materially affect the copyright holder's ability to profit from it or the work it advertises, i.e., the Matrix trilogy.
