Trevor Lloyd Sinclair (born March 2, 1973 in Dulwich, London) educated at Castlebrook High School, Bury) is an English footballer, who currently plays in midfield for Manchester City of the English Premiership. The versatile winger is able to play on both the left and right flank.
Prior to Manchester City, Sinclair played for Blackpool (1990-93), Queens Park Rangers (1993-98), and West Ham United (1998-2003). Although he only earned 12 caps for England, four of those caps came in the 2002 World Cup, when he was a last-minute replacement for the injured Danny Murphy. He replaced Owen Hargreaves (who was injured early in the competition) in the team and was widely regarded as one of England's better players in the tournament.
He once won the goal-of-the-season competition with an overhead scissor kick while playing for QPR in an FA Cup match against Barnsley. At the beginning of his career at Manchester City, he played on the left wing, where he had performed for England in the 2002 World Cup; however, the departure of Shaun Wright-Phillips presented the opportunity for Sinclair to play on his preferred right wing.
