Tremont Music Hall

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tremont Music Hall is located near downtown Charlotte, North Carolina. Tremont has two stages. The main hall holds 1000 people, while the Casbah (located in the same building) hold 350. Typically, shows have 3-4 bands, with doors at 7, show at 8. Most shows are all ages. Tremont caters to rock music - touching everything from alternative, indie, punk, hardcore, metal, pop, emo - and a variety of others. Shows range from $6 for local shows to $20 for national headliners. There is a bar, and they now serve beer and liquor. Under 21 concert as of April 2006, are not allowed to leave the property during a show, unless they pay to re-enter the show.

Tremont has plenty of parking, using a lot across the street as parking if the fenced in parking lot gets full. The fenced in parking lot is also closed to customers during national tour shows.

In November, for the second time, they refused to move Leftover Crack into the main hall. Leftover Crack has sold out the Casbah twice, and the November show sold out before doors were open. There reasoning was "the small stage would be more fun". This is a shock due to the understood "money making" vibe the place has and refusal of taking on small shows due to the lack of money they might bring in.
