Tregarth

Tregarth is a small village near Bethesda in the Ogwen Valley in Snowdonia North Wales which formed at the time of the famous strike of the Penrhyn Quarry (Chwarel y Penrhyn in Welsh). The village was used to house the workers of the quarry who would not strike. The village now consists of a shop, a pub, a chapel, a church and a small primary school, Ysgol Tregarth. The post office closed in 2006. The population is approximately 1,000.
