Treaty of Hamburg (1762)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Treaty of Hamburg was signed on May 22, 1762 between the Swedish Empire and Prussia. The treaty came into being after Russia decided to break off its alliance with Prussia after the deposition of Peter III (July 9, 1762). His successor, Catherine II, recalled her troops from Frederick's army. Nevertheless, Frederick was still able to defeat the Austrians at Burkersdorf on July 21, 1762.
