Treacherous Three

The Treacherous Three are old school rappers. Kool Moe Dee, Special K, L.A. Sunshine, and DJ Easy Lee. They formed in the late 70s in the Bronx, New York. Their first single "The New Rap Language" was released in 1980. They continued to record on and off until the 90s. One of their albums, Old School Flava, was released in 1994. Kool Moe Dee launched his own successful solo career in the mid-1980s.

Kool Moe Dee was also well-known for the one of the earliest recordings of a mix-tape MC battle against another pioneer Chief Rocker Busy Bee Starski. The outcome of that particular battle rap essentially ended Busy Bee's reign as a crowd favorite and ushered in a new era of hip-hop

The group sometimes performed and recorded along with Spoonie Gee as Spoonie Gee & Treacherous Three.
