Travelcard Zones A-D
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Travelcard Zones A-D are ancillary zones in the Transport for London Travelcard scheme.
They include only the eight London Underground Metropolitan Line stations in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire and thus not naturally within the TfL zonal system.
Until the late 1990s some stations at the far eastern end of the Central Line were also in Zones A and B (the last station in Zone 6 was Loughton) with Epping being in Zone B and (prior to their closure in 1994) North Weald and Ongar being in Zones C and D respectively. However since then Zone 6 has been extended as far as Epping, now the end of the line.
