Travel + Leisure
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Travel + Leisure is an American magazine initially published in 1971. It is put out by American Express Publishing, who also publish Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure Golf, Travel + Leisure Family, and Departures magazines. From 1969 to 1971, it was called Travel & Camera, and prior to that it was called U.S. Camera and Travel. These first titles focused more on travel photography, but the name change signaled a change to coverage of travel in general. The Editor-in-Chief is Nancy Novogrod.
The magazine specializes in leisure travel and often features articles written by novelists, poets, artists, designers and non-travel journalists. It is known for its travel photography. Its World's Best Awards, an annual reader survey rating destinations and travel providers, have been announced every August since 1995.
