- 1938: The ordnance factory "MUNA St. Georgen" is founded in the outskirts of the village St. Georgen, exactly in the "St. Georgen Forest"
- after 1945: Expellees from the former eastern parts of the German Empire settle down in the abandoned grounds. They are the first pioneers of the later city of Traunreut. They are cleaning this place up from all ammunition, poisoned gases and other relics from World War 2 and stuff like that for making it happen that more people are able to populate this future town that would be later called Traunreut.
- 1950: The village Traunreut is founded
- 1960: Traunreut becomes city. Traunreut has already 10.000 inhabitants.
- 1978: The city incorporates with the neighbour villages Traunwalchen, Stein-St. Georgen and Pierling.
- 2004: Traunreut is largest city of the district and has been growing, and growing and growing..
