Trat is a town in Thailand, capital of the Trat Province and the Mueang Trat district. The town is located in the east of Thailand, near the border to Cambodia at the mouth of the Trat River.
[edit] Traffic
Trat is located at the end of the Sukhumvit highway from Bangkok.
The town is serviced by a nearby Trat Airport, however mostly used for tourists who directly travel to Ko Chang without passing the town.
Early 2006, all bus stops were moved from the central marketplace to a new station at the outskirts of town.
