Elaine has Saturday detention. She hates it. When she gets there, four others have detention with her and their principal is there. Bo, being a bad boy, decides to leave when the principal leaves. Elaine and Darlene don't get along that well. Max and Darlene don't hesitate following Bo. Elaine and Jerry, regetably follow. At first, the five steal food from the cafeteria. Then Bo hears Mr. Savage coming so he and the others hide out in the auditorim. Elaine falls through the floor and finds herself in a series of tunnels. Bo and the others come down after her.

Bo and Max tell the story of how these tunnels used to be a bomb shelter and how kids used to party there in the fities, until a lot of them suddenly died. It frightens all of them, especially when Elaine finds the words "Let's Party" written everywhere.

Bo breaks a brick from a brick wall he finds and lets out a red mist. The mist kills Max, twisting and smashing his body. The others don't know what to do. They find themselves lost and trapped with the killer mist. Jerry is murdered as they find the ladder to go back up. It breaks and none of them can get out. Now panicking, the others find themselves near six skeletons. Elaine finds six names on the wall, the names of the six victims. Then on the bottom, it is revealed that Mr. Savage knows something.

Bo and Darlene disappear as Mr. Savage is down there. She asks him what he knows. Soon, Bo comes back and says Darlene is dead. Mr. Savage says that he was one of the teenagers that partied in the tunnels. The six were his friends. There was a cave in so he thought his friends were dead. So while they were trying to get out, Savage was building a brick wall to keep other kids out of the tunnels. Elanie claims that the red mist killed kids and it was all his fault for trapping them in. Then the red mist comes back and they realize that the red mist didn't kill the six kids. The six kids were the red mist. The red mist kills Mr. Savage and disappears but before he dies, he tells Bo and Elaine where the exit is. Bo and Elaine don't know what to tell anyone and they leave.
