Transversal may mean one of the following.
- Transversal, a set containing exactly one member of each of several other sets.
- There is an important notion of transversality in differential topology.
- A transversal in a Latin square of order n is a collection of n matrix positions comprising one from each row and one from each column, such that the symbols in those positions are distinct. Not all Latin squares have transversals.
- In geometry, a transversal is a line that intersects two or more (often) parallel lines. When the lines are parallel a transversal produces several congruent and several supplementary angles. When three lines in general position that form a triangle are cut by a transversal, the lengths of the six resulting segments satisfy Menelaus' theorem.
- Transversal Corporation is a technology company in Cambridge, United Kingdom, founded in 1998.
