  • There are freight rail connections with Argentina over the Salto Grande Dam and with Brazil (with freight transhipment because of gauge difference) at Santana do Livramento.
  • Regular passenger services are operated between Montevideo and 25 de Agosto (63 km) since August 1993 and between Montevideo and Ingeniero Victor Sudriers since December 15th, 2005 (44 km).
