Transmitter Encamp
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Transmitter Encamp is a facility of Radio Andorra for medium wave and short wave radio broadcasting, located in the Andorran parish of Encamp at 1°34'W and 42°31'N. Transmitter Encamp uses for medium wave transmission two guyed masts with square cross section, which are built of lattice steel and which are both 125 metres tall. One of these masts is a mast radiator insulated against ground, while the other is grounded and used as reflector. Both masts were built in 1939. For shortwave transmission a logarithmic periodical antenna is used. The transmitter Encamp was shut down in 1981, but its installation is still there.
