Trans Mara District

Trans Mara District is an administrative district in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya. Its capital town is Kilgoris. The district has a population of 170,591 (1999 census) and an area of 2,846 km² [1].
The district has only one local authority, Trans Mara county council.
Trans Mara District is divided into five administrative divisions: Kirindoni, Kilgoris, Lolgorian, Keiyan and Pirrar.
Kilgoris constituency is the only constituency of the district.
The Masai Mara reserve is located in Trans Mara District.
