Founded in 1962, the Tramway Museum Society Of Victoria (or TMSV for short) is a society dedicated to the preservation, restoration and operation of trams.

The museum (Bylands Tramway Heritage Centre) is located in Bylands, Victoria, between Wallan and Kilmore.

At present, the museum houses a large varied collection of trams from Melbourne, Ballarat and Bendigo, as well as a fleet of preserved buses and other work vehicles. Electric trams operate along a 1km long section of track (formerly part of the Heathcote Junction to Bendigo railway line).

Since the establishment of the museum at Bylands, the TMSV has built up a significant amount of infrastructure:

- one kilometre of operating electric tramline on the former Heathcote Junction to Bendigo railway line

- tramway electric supply substation

- two tram depot buildings

- vehicle storage building for unrestored trams

- cable tram car storage building

- motor vehicle storage building

- Visitor Centre (awaiting completion)

- Exhibition Goods Shed display building and workshop

- vehicle maintenance shed (awaiting completion)

As of September 2005, admission charges were set at $8 for an adult, $4 for a child or $18 for a family of four. Admission allows access to the museum as well as unlimited tram rides. The museum is open every Sunday (except some public holidays) from 10am until 5pm. School or enthusiast groups can be catered for at other times by appointment.
