Train Ride is a thriller film written and directed by Rel Dowdell, which was released in 2005 (see 2005 in film). It revolves around the consequences of an incident of date rape on a college campus in Philadelphia, and stars Wood Harris and MC Lyte. The film was shot in 1998, but financing problems meant that the post-production process took several years to complete. However, reviews from screenings of the film had been surfacing on the Internet Movie Database from as early as 2000 [1]. Train Ride was Esther Rolle's last project before her death in November 1998, and the film is dedicated to her.
