[edit] Usage

This template is used in the "In the news..." section of Portal:Trains. It takes four arguments:

  1. The filename of the first image to display
  2. The alternate text for the first image
  3. The filename of the second image to display
  4. The alternate text for the second image

For example, the following code:

{{Trains portal/News image 2|BN 3157 IL Eola.jpg|Burlington Northern train|ATSF 5261 CA Caliente.jpg|Santa Fe locomotive}}

produces the image pair shown at right.

This template is used less frequently than {{Trains portal/News image}}, but is needed when a news item references two different entities, such as the news item on June 13, 2005, noting the second planned rail connection between China and Kazakhstan (see June 2005 in rail transport) or the May 26, 2005, announcement that Genesee and Wyoming purchased a number of shortlines from Rail Management Corporation (see May 2005 in rail transport).
