• 1881 – Regular train service over the Prince of Wales Bridge on the Québec, Montréal, Ottawa and Occidental Railway begins.^[1]
• 1898 – Regular operations begins on the Randsburg Railway with two daily round trips between Kramer and Johannesburg, California.^[2]
• 2001 – Groundbreaking ceremonies are held for the Hiawatha Line in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
• 2005 – Two Bangkok Metro trains collide, injuring nearly 200 people.
