[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:BandQ.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:BandQ.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

[edit] B&Q confusion

I noticed that here you deleted a comment from the Home Depot article about B&Q not being related. They are in fact not related at all, despite the similarities, so I've added additional language to remove the confusion entirely. See also my comments on the Talk:The_Home_Depot page. Also, when you make such changes please be sure to fill in the "edit summary" field, especially when you think you are fixing a factual inaccuracy. That allows others to more easily notice and make a greater effort to validate the change. -- Bovineone 07:06, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bill Hicks pic retouched

Hi Tr, if you could upload the improved Bill Hicks pic here Putfile.com then I can copy-paste it & that would be better for me.
[Wiki's putfile info]
I'm reluctant to put my email address on public display, what with all the nuts and spammers and spamming nutters, etc. It's a very handy service they offer 100%, I'd rec signing up. (25mb of upload space per member.. upload pics, audio and video) cheers Dirk Diggler Jnr 02:36, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Monkey Island and 'original research'

Please see my discussion in the talk page of Monkey Island series about if references of PotC should be mentioned. I'd like your input.

[edit] License tagging for Image:Llandudno.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Llandudno.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:06, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi TR. It's a nice image, but it's going to be deleted very soon unless you can provide information to demonstrate that it's not a copyright infringement. Where did it come from? I see from the discussion above that several images you've posted have been tagged as possible copyright infringements; if you need any help on what you need to do, or on what's allowable or what's not, please feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Regards. --MichaelMaggs 11:12, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
