TR Oil Services

TR Oil Services Ltd. ("TROS") is a now-defunct company which traded in oilfield production chemicals.
TROS was established in 1972 by Simon Engineering in Manchester, UK. In 1983, German chemical giant Hoechst AG acquired a 50% share of the company. In 1993, Hoechst acquires the remaining shares and TROS became a 100% Hoechst subsidiary.
Following the divestment of the Hoechst speciality chemicals business, TROS became a subsidiary of Clariant in 1997.
In 2003, the TROS business was integrated into the parent company, Clariant, under the name "Clariant Oil Services", and ceased to trade as a separate company.

Malaysia: Shapadu-TROS Sdn. Bhd. (now Clariant Oil Services Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.) Joint Venture.
Saudi Arabia: Arabian TR Oil Services Company Ltd. (now Clariant Ali Al Abdulla Al Tamimi Company Ltd.) - Joint Venture.
