TR Griffin
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
TR Griffin is a Pop/Rock Christian music artist that also sings contemporary a cappella based in Sacramento, California. Griffin originally formed the band Boyz Nite Out in October of 1993. Boyz Nite Out quickly established themeselves as a high energy vocal band.
Griffin wrote several of the group's songs and is now singing Christian Music and music from the Doo-Wop era. He used Vocal percussion on his two Acappella CD releases "Eternity" and "Servant Of God".
While his first CD is A Cappella, he is releasing other CD's with instruments that sound like a mix between Seal, Steven Curtis Chapman, and John Mayer. He used hard disk recording for all of his recording projects and was one of the first to pioneer this recording technique.
TR Griffin has won many songwriting awards and awards with his former group, including Sacramento Magazines "Best Vocal Group" the 1995 Bay Area Harmony Sweepstakes winners and TR has opened for the likes of Ray Charles, The Righteous Brothers, and Michael McDonald.
