I can give you a hand on the pre-1910ish history of the Melbourne railways article, if you'd like - I have a bunch of notes here. Bit short on the period after that, though. Ambivalenthysteria 07:44, 21 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Any help would be great. I'm also currently reading a circa 1971 book on the history of Australian railways which covers the Sandridge steam railway in quite a bit of detail, so I was going to use that as a starting point. It doesn't offer much on the suburban railways though, but a lot more on the regional. I could also use it and a few other resources to at least start similar articles for the other states and capitals. Melbourne first, eh. TPK 11:43, 21 Jul 2004 (UTC)
