Toyota TS010

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The TS010 was Toyota's entry in the Sportscar World Championship in 1991 and 1992. The car was built to meet new sportscar racing regulations imposed by the FIA from 1991 and was designed by Tony Southgate of TWR-Jaguar fame. The TS010 utilized a purpose built 3.5 liter V10 engine and was designed to the 750 kg category minimum weight (previous Group C regulations set the category minimum at 900 kg). The TS010's only victory was in the opening race of the 1992 season at Monza.
