From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Toyota Park (formerly Endeavour Field, Ronson Field and Caltex Field, known colloquially as Shark Park) is a rugby league stadium in Cronulla, New South Wales, Australia. It is the home ground for the Cronulla Sharks rugby league team and Sydney Olympic FC football (soccer) team. The stadium has a nominal capacity of 21,500. It was built in 1960. The Toyota Motor Company bought the naming rights to the stadium.
On April 21, 2006, the Federal Government announced a $9.6 million grant will be given to the Cronulla Sharks to upgrade Toyota Park.[1]
The upgrade to toyota park will include a new stand to sit just over 1,500 spectators at the southern end which will be undercover. Upgrades will also be made to the E.T stand and the Peter Burns stand. There will also be new facilities put in throughout the ground such as a swimming poll and a new gym.
