Toyota District, Hiroshima

Toyota (豊田郡; -gun) is a district located in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan.

As of 2003 (before the mergers), the district had an estimated population of 69,210 and a density of 210.12 persons per km². The total area was 329.38 km².

• On April 1, 2004, the town of Kawajiri merged into the city of Kure.

• On February 7, 2005, the town of Akitsu merged into the city of Higashihiroshima.

• On March 20, 2005, the towns of Yasuura, Toyohama and Yutaka merged into the city of Kure.

• On March 22, 2005, the town of Hongo merged into the city of Mihara.

• On January 10, 2006, the town of Setoda merged into the expanded city of Onomichi.
