The Toy Bulldog, also known as the Miniature Bulldog, is an extinct breed of small Bulldog that averaged 8 pounds in weight. Many of them were pushed out of Britain during the mid to late 19th century, seen as a threat to the English Bulldog breed. In France, they were bred with the English Bulldog to produce the French Bulldog. Efforts are now underway to reinvent this breed, as it slowly disappeared during the early part of the 20th century.
