[edit] Song information
There are two versions of this song recorded. First can be found on Marc's debut album. Second one, rock version, was released as a radio & digital single in Canada (April 2006). It will be available on the singer's next album. The music video was suppose to be shot in the Nevada desert but because of Céline's health conditions it was directed at The Colosseum at Ceasars Palace by Ivan Grbovic (May 2006). "Tout Près du Bonheur" topped Québec radio charts in June 2006 when Céline Dion was celebrating 25 years of her career and was a big success. The last Céline's single which reached number one in Québec was "Tout l'Or des Hommes"). The song was composed in 2000 by Céline for Marc Dupré & Anne-Marie Angelil's wedding. Dion performed it after the ceremony. During the recording of his first album, Marc asked Céline for permission to cover the song. The mother-in-law accepted it at once and recorded background vocals for the track. There is also third but only live version of that song. It was performed by Céline & Marc on Gala Artists in Québec (April 2006) and featured more vocals from Céline (she sang the whole second verse).
Céline sang already a live duet with Marc in 2002 - "Sous le Vent." Marc was also the opening act for Céline's shows at the Olympia, Paris in 1994.
Dion worked with Tino Izzo (who produced the track) in 1993 on "Plus Haut Que Moi" (a duet with Mario Pelchat).
The track wasn't included on Céline's album On Ne Change Pas.
