From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Toure "Southpaw" Harris is the producer and Engineer for Immortal Technique and is the current head of A&R at Viper Records. He is close to the same age as Technique and attended the same Elementary and Jr. highschool. He is known for his very musical and hard drum style of music. Even though he has only produced Underground songs his name is well known in the Hip hop circles for someone to watch in 2007 as Immortal Technique prepares to relase an album and a mixtape with some of his production.
Toure "SouthPaw" Harris is also the hypeman and producer for Akir and apparantly had some college radio experience as he said in an interview with www.hiphopgame.com. He also was employed by Puff Daddy at his studio 'Daddy's House' and served there as an engineer for a couple of years before leaving frustrated by major label politics to build a studio with Viper Records and officially join with Immortal Technique to complete his cult classic Revolutionary Vol.2.
On that album he produced the following songs.
-The Point of No Return - Peruvian Cocaine (feat. C-Rayz Walz, Poison Pen, Tonedeff, Diabolic, Loucipher & Pumpkinhead) - Harlem Street (feat. Dj Rocraida) - Obnoxious - The Message & The Money - Leaving the Past - You Never Know (feat. Jean Grae) - One (RMX) (feat. Akir)
He also produced the following tracks on Revolutionary Vol.1
- The Poverty of Philosophy - The Getaway
Little more is really known about Southpaw but that he is an avid NY Giants fan and that he is notorious for cheating at video games.
