Touching From a Distance
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Touching From A Distance is a novel written by Deborah Curtis. It details her life and marriage with Ian Curtis, lead singer of the 1970's British post-punk rock band Joy Division. In the book, Deborah Curtis speaks of Ian's unfortunate marital unfaithfulness, and of his health problems (which included epileptic seizures) that likely lead to his tragic suicide in 1980, on the eve of Joy Division's first U.S. tour.
The book is being used as a reference for the upcoming film, Control: The Ian Curtis Film, in which Deborah Curtis will be a co-producer.
