Touch was the second and final single to be released from the self titled album, Touch, by singer Amerie. The single was released mid summer 2005 to the US. The single was released for digital download in the US in July and later released in the UK on the 22nd, of August. For the final release Amerie brought in rapper T.I. for the radio release, known as the Main Mix. Unlike 1 Thing, Touch was not as successful in the US or UK. The single didn’t even make the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Charts and it just made the Billboard R&B 100. However the single did receive positive video play from MTV and VH1, and went on to be a minor club hit. Some view the release of Touch too early, since 1 Thing was still receiving too much airplay.
[edit] Music video
The music video was shot on a jungle set in California. It starts out with Amerie emerging from the bushes with her dancers. They then procede into a club barefooted, with some serious cheorography. Throughout most of the video she is dancing and it ends with her returning to the jungle to conclude her dance sequence. An alternate video also features rapper, T.I.
