Tostedt is a village and a municipality in the district of Harburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approx. 35 km southwest of Hamburg, and 12 km southwest of Buchholz in der Nordheide.

Tostedt is also the seat of the Samtgemeinde ("collective municipality") Tostedt, which consists of the following municipalities:

  • Handeloh
  • Heidenau
  • Kakenstorf
  • Königsmoor
  • Otter
  • Tostedt
  • Welle
  • Wistedt
