Toshiko Akiyoshi Recital by jazz pianist Toshiko Akiyoshi was recorded in Tokyo in February of 1961. This edition, along with a previously released "special edition", Long Yellow Road, containing most of the same tracks from the same recital, was released in Japan that year. All tracks from these two releases as well as 1961's Toshiko Meets Her Old Pals recording were later combined on a single album released by King Jazz as 1961 - Toshiko Akiyoshi, a History of King Jazz Recordings.
