Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. Here's some tips:

  • You can introduce yourself on the new users page.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes, like ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.
  • Remember to use the show preview button before you save a page.
  • If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page.

Other useful pages are: how to edit, how to write a great article, naming conventions, manual of style and the Wikipedia policies.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Angela. 20:42, Apr 12, 2004 (UTC)

Hi, Torsin! Nice work on Cleopatra 2525 and Jack of All Trades. :) Just thought I'd let you know that it's not generally considered appropriate to sign your articles, just your posts on talk pages, so I've removed the signatures from those articles -- the fact that you created them is still present in the article history. You can check out Wikipedia:Ownership of articles and Wikipedia:Sign your posts on talk pages for more detail on these guidelines. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me. -- Seth Ilys 20:22, 13 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Hello. I was wondering if you would like to participate in my classic rock survey. I'm trying to find the most liked classic rock song. There is more information on my user page. Hope you participate! RENTASTRAWBERRY FOR LET? röck 03:01, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] mad season

"mad season" is the name of the album. Unfortunately, because of technical restrictions, we cannot place the album at that page--the first letter of a page's name must be capitalized. Otherwise, we could just have three totally different pages: one at Mad Season for the band, one at mad season for the album, and then a disambiguation page for Mad season--which wouldn't properly refer to anything. I hope I helped explain, and welcome to Wikipedia! Matt Yeager 00:17, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

You know what? You're right. Mad Season now redirects to the band, and mad season now redirects to the album, and there's a disambiguation header on top of both pages. Is that okay with you? Matt Yeager (Talk?) 01:45, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:12_bar_blues_weiland.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:12_bar_blues_weiland.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 05:35, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
