The Toronto Grace Hospital first opened in 1905. It is run by The Salvation Army. It is on the corner of Church Street and Bloor Street in Downtown Toronto. It was known as a baby hospital up to the 1970's when the hospital closed its pregnancy ward. It was one of the first hospitals in the world to introduce Palliative care and is the best run Palliative care in Canada.
The hospital is to move to Markham in time for 2011-2 where it will share some services with the Markham-Stouffville Hospital.[1]
