Toritodon (トリトドン?) are one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media created by Satoshi Tajiri. The purpose of Toritodon in the games, anime, and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon—untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments—and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]

[edit] Biological Characteristics
Toritodon is based on a sea slug.
It, along with its previous form, Karanakushi, exists in two forms found in different parts of Sinnoh. Western Toritodon have bovine-like horns with saurian ridges on their backs, while eastern Toritodon have backward-pointing horns and lacy back ridges. Toritodon, like its pre-evolution, is an example of speciation due to geographical isolation.
[edit] In the video games
Toritodon can have one of two abilities: the pre-existing Sticky Hold; and the new ability Water Lure, which draws Water-type attacks to this Pokemon (a Water-type version of Lightningrod).
