Topshur

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Topshur (or topshuur) is a two-stringed plucked lute played by northern Turkic peoples (including Tuvans, Altayans, and Khakas). Similar to the Russian domra and Mongolian tovshuur, the topshur's strings are tuned to the interval of a fourth, and its playing style can be described as clangorous.
