Topper (sports)

Topper is a Brazilian sportswear brand partially owned by the Argentine Alpargatas group, founded in 1975, with business in South America, but mainly in Brazil and Argentina.
Its products range form footwear and clothing to underwear, sport bags, balls, and equipment in general for football (soccer), basketball, volleyball, rugby and tennis.
In Argentina, Topper supplies garment for Argentine national basketball team and different football teams in Argentina including first division Newell's Old Boys and Vélez Sarsfield as well as to a number of rugby clubs, mainly to clubs from the URBA; between 2000 until 2004 it was the official supplier for the Argentina national rugby union team (know as Los Pumas). Since 2006 Topper has become the main sponsor of Argentine tennis player Juan Ignacio Chela.
