[edit] Toon Patrol

The Toon Patrol are the law officers of Toontown whom were hired by Judge Doom to capture and execute Roger Rabbit for the murder of Marvin Acme. The weasels love to laugh at the misery of others, including each other, and love anything grim and dark. They, like almost all other toons, are invincible to everything and anything without it doing any longterm physical damage, except intense laughter; laughing hard and long enough, for them, is lethal. Judge Doom constantly has to remind his henchmen to not laugh or they will end up dead, "Just like your idiot hyena cousins," and sometimes have to remind eachother. By their fellow toons, they are feared since they help Judge Doom capture any toon charged with a felony before they were tried, convicted, and sentenced to death by being "dipped" (dipped into a mixture of turpentine, acetone and benzene that would erase the toon).

[edit] Character Description

Smartass - The leader of the weasels. He has brown fur and wears a beige double breasted suit with a matching beige zoot hat and pink band. His weapon of choice is a pistol and is the best fighter of the group. Smartass possesses the most self control of the weasels and doesn't act the typical "toonish" ways. He represents the tough guy, trying to find a following.

Greasy - The alleged runner-up for leader. He is of Puerto Rican descent, and is the most ruthless and eager to fight of the weasels. He has greasy black hair, wears a Zoot Suit styled trench coat with spectator shoes and a tall green zoot hat, and has dark brown fur. He has a strong Mexican accent and seems that Spanish is his first language, which at some point he uses. He carries a switchblade as his weapon. He seems to represent the hardened sexual addict who really wants love.

Psycho - The most insane and unstable of the group of weasels. He has a shrilling laugh and high-pitched voice, and gets the most joy out of the grim sense of humor the weasels share. He is the most dangerous, and attempts to kill Roger more times then any of the others. He wears a "Canadian Long Jacket" straight jacket, though it is unbuckled. He has blue eyes with yellow and white swirls that show his psychoticness. Psycho has brown fur that is always messy and unkept by his hair line. He carries around a barbershop straight razor as his weapon. He represents the outcast trying to find his place.

Wheezy - Wheezy is seemingly most depressed of the weasels and the most ill content with life, sickly and believed to be the oldest. He is always seen smoking a numerous amount of cigarettes and smokes as a way of escape from the rat race of life. He gets a lot of enjoyment from blowing smoke in the other weasels face. Wheezy is dressed in a black vest, bouler cap, and loose black tie. His weapon of choice is a Tommy Gun. He represents the hard worker trying to find escape.

Stupid - Stupid is the dumbest of all the weasels with a childlike essence and is guessed to be the youngest of the group. Stupid wears a red beanie with a propeller on top, plays the innocent role, and has a pigeon-toed stance. Stupid is the strongest of the weasels, and is used mainly for heavy lifting and enforcement. Stupid is a little slow on the uptake and often falls over his own two feet, but finds a little humor in it himself. His weapon of choice is a bat with a nail through the top. He represents an adult trying to find his childhood innocence.

[edit] Character development

  • The Weasels are modeled after the weasels in the 1949 Disney's The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (Mr. Toad)
  • There were originally supposed to be seven weasels, the sixth named "Slimey" and the seventh named "Flasher". They were edited out after the producers decided the characters wouldn't be suitable for the movie.
  • Smartass is the only Disney/Touchstone cartoon character who's name is an expletive.
