Tonypandy railway station is a railway station serving the town of Tonypandy in South Wales. It is located on the Rhondda Line. The station cannot be directly accessed from Tonypandy, a scenic bridge over the Taff must be used as the station adjuncts a mountain. The station can be difficult to hide as signage is somewhat obscure. For anyone desperate to find it, it is next to Judge's Bingo Hall and also has a large garden (!!!) beside the Disabled Access (from Tonypandy town). It has one station building which has been known to smell of urine and many say resembles a hut. The station has been unmanned for well over ten years. The station is operated (in the widest sense of the term) by Arriva Trains Wales, who have successfully painted the station turquoise and installed some modern art. Seating is limited on the station, but on the plus side, the platform can accommodate a lot more carriages than will ever realistically call there. The current station dates from the 1960s, replacing an earlier structure which had been destroyed in road renovations. Many features of the station date from the 1960s. Trees have been known to frequent the garden.
