From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tony Williams (April 5, 1928–August 14, 1992) was the lead singer for The Platters from 1953 to 1960. Williams was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and died in New York City.

His son Brian, later known as Bison Dele, was a basketball player for five NBA teams before retiring unexpectedly in 2000 and disappearing at sea, presumably murdered, in 2002.
