Tony Trupiano

Tony Trupiano, born in March of 1961, is a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Dearborn Heights, MI. In September 2005, he announced his candidacy to unseat Republican U.S. Representative Thad McCotter in the 11th District map in Michigan in 2006. Mr. Trupiano is a broadcaster, union negotiator, spokesman and author. In November of 2006 Trupiano was defeated by the incumbent congressman by over 30,000 votes. [1]

He attended Alma College & received his degree in public relations in 1984. In 1982, he helped found its Theta Nu chapter of Sigma Chi.

Tony Trupiano has been the host and producer of a progressive talk radio show on the Michigan Talk Radio Network, I.E. America Radio Network, and the Syndicated Solutions Radio Network since 1993. His subjects have included tolerance of others and the local automotive unions.

Since August 2001 Tony Trupiano has been active fighting his own weight loss battle while assisting others in theirs. Having lost over 240 pounds, he is spokesman for diet products and an author of many articles on dieting and exercise.
