Tony Thompson (boxer)

Tony Thompson (born October 18, 1971 in Silver Spring, MD) is a professional boxer. Nicknamed "The Tiger", Thompson is a rising contender in the heavywight division. On a 24 fight winning streak, the 6'5" Thompson is coming off of a huge victory over fringe contender Dominick Guinn in June 2006. Prior to his victory over Guinn, Thompson's fights have generally been against non-descript opposition, highlighted by victories over Yanqui Diaz and former repeated title challenger Vaughn Bean.
Thompson also competed Cedric Kushner's Thunderbox Heavyweight Tournament, "Fistful of Dollars", but lost.
